Gray Fox Birthday Party August 14!

Hunter in a BlanketWolf Park’s Fox Kits Turn 100 (Days)!

Wolf Park’s three gray fox kits will be 100 days old on Wednesday, August 14th!  The public is invited to the celebration, which will be held in conjunction with regular guided tours during open hours from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Activities will include the kits receiving treats, presents, and a scent rolling demonstration.

The fox kits Hunter, Gypsum and Ifa arrived at Wolf Park in May from another facility in Minnesota.  Since their arrival, the fox kits have undergone an intense socialization process, which involves them being with humans 24 hours a day.  The goal is for the foxes to be tame so that fox sponsors can meet the ambassador animals in person.  In addition, the foxes can participate in behavioral research.  Gray foxes are native to Indiana, but are rarely seen since they spend most of their time in trees.

In lieu of presents, cash donations for their care are being accepted online at, or at 4004 E 800 N, Battle Ground, IN.
